I am finally deciding to write a review on Karl Tyler. I bought my vehicle from them in August of 2015 and my view and confidence in them has only gone downhill since then. My car had a 2 year warranty that covered oil changes, tire rotations, and most other routine services; so naturally I took my car to their service department. The first time that I took my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation everything went smoothly and I was in and out in a reasonable time frame. Each time since then I have been very disappointed in both time and quality. I have always made an appointment, so I would expect for the staff to start working on my vehicle within a 20 minute window of my appointment time, or at the very least explain why this isn't happening. There were several times that I spent over 2 hours waiting at Karl Tyler for my oil to be changed and tires rotated. This is WAY to long for such a routine job. I do not understand why this would happen unless my appointment is pushed aside because there were vehicles dropped off that the service team was working on instead. What is the point of making an appointment if there isn't an effort to make sure that my vehicle is worked on during this time?!? The last time that I brought my vehicle in it was no longer under warranty; once again I made an appointment and even called prior to double check that they were not behind because I had to go to work afterwards. They guaranteed that I would have plenty of time to make it to work. Then when I get there, I bring it up again. The guy gets flustered and isn't sure they will get it done in the time frame (an hour and a half!) and so sends it over to their Karl Tyler express lube. I would not typically care about this other than the fact that they didn't end up rotating my tires or checking lights or windshield wipers, AND they charged me the same price that they would've for all of it! Overall, I have had better service at every other change place than what I have had at Karl Tyler. I would not recommend bringing your vehicle to them unless you have plenty of time to burn and/or your vehicle is under warranty with them.
