We weren't sure where to bring this cat, but Alpine vets responded quickly to our call and we were able to bring her in for exam. The vet was very gentle with her and felt that the cat needed to stay the night so further examination could be done. We were notified that evening that they were going to be doing surgery on her after office hours. I was not sure if this cat could be saved, so I really appreciated the phone calls to update us. They were able to save our cat which I deeply appreciate and I felt the cost was quite reasonable - emergency surgery, overnight stay, antibiotics and pain meds. I also appreciated the kindness and professionalism shown to us. We will definitely return to Alpine vets for future needs.

It was excellent experience for our dog Whisper and us. Will definitely see this new vet(to Missoula) again for all regular checkups.

On the second day she became less interested in eating and I had to fight to get her medication down her. In the pre dawn hours of the third day I decided to look up the medications. The vet had me giving her 2 of the medications together hidden in a ball of wet food and then waiting an hour to give her the last one in a slurry. According to the instructions from the manufacturer of the first medication it was to be given alone and without food, in order to be absorbed so that it settled her stomache so she did not feel nausea. The vet had given incorrect instructions. Once I realized this I tried to follow the correct instruction for all the medicine but by then she refused even water. I took her in to another vetranarian which took good care of her but unfortunately with her age and refusing to eat I had to have her put down 4 days later.
If Alpine focused on caring for the animals that are brought in instead of spending all their time on producing paperwork, they would not lose customers who pay for services before they leave. They still owe me the remainder of what i had put on the account.
