Will Duncan performed a home inspection and radon test and produced a report.  He made several observations and generally recommended that for most things that he found of notice that I get a professional to give further advice.  He did however miss the fact that a previous owner had cut into at least five floor joists in order to install plumbing.  This is clearly and obviously not up to code.  In addition, simple things to spot like toilets that don't flush properly (continue to run and run because the guts are not functioning properly) and leaking faucets.  He did return the cost of the inspection, but I am left with the issue of the cut out floor joists.  This is something that a competent home inspector would not have missed.
