Brian arrived right on time and got to work. After he laid the tile, I discovered that the "decoupler" layer that he installed over the concrete foundation slab might not stand up to the heat from the stove. I informed Brian, he double checked my conclusion, agreed with my analysis, then promptly took up the tile, removed the decoupler, drove to Missoula, purchased some high temperature thin set, returned and reinstalled the tile. He billed me for the original estimate, even though he had done a lot of extra work and driving. I was so pleased with his attitude and performance that I gave him an extra $100. If you need tiling, I highly recommend Bigatel's Fine Tiling.
