My car stalled out and restarted. Prestige was the closest repair shop to where I was. When I got there, I met the owner, he explained how long they have been in business, told me the prices and that all mechanics were ase certified. After explaining what happened with my car, I was driven home. My car didn't stall out while they had it. The issue I am having is that my car will stall out when I stop, but restarts. Unfortunately with the computers in vehicles these days, the codes don't always show up. Finally 4 codes showed up that could possibly be causing the stalling. After going over each code with me, the mass air flow sensor was replaced. The car didn't stall for another two months. I took it back and they drove it around town for three days, but it wouldn't stall out. There was no charge for their time. This last time my car stalled another part was replaced. When I picked it up my car, they told me that they had talked to the ford service to see if they had any cars having the same issues as mine. They told them everything that was happening and the two parts that have been replaced. Unfortunately it seems that my car is the only one having the issue. Prestige was upfront with me and said that they could just keep replacing parts until it was fixed, but since they can't figure it out, that I should think about getting another car if it stalls out again. I will continue to take my cars there. I would rather take my vehicle to a place that says they can't figure it out instead of a company that just wants to keep replacing parts and costing me more money.
