Animal Grooming
My daughter drops my dogs off at a time that's convenient to me. Karen is pretty flexible and starts work early. They have the full treatment and are ready in about 2 - 3 hours, dry and sweet smelling.

Animal Grooming
Scheduling an appointment was easy - I was able to get in on the day I preferred (I wanted to schedule about a week out). I was very impressed with the appearance the location on Bozeman Avenue - it was cozy and welcoming. Karen and her staff were friendly and professional. They were busy and the dogs all seemed very at ease, which I took as a good sign! She asked questions about my dog and my grooming preferences. My dog seemed comfortable and happy when I left and when I returned to pick him up. I dropped him off around 9am, and she called by about 1:30pm to let me know he was ready to be picked up (they may have been able to finish sooner, but I didn't ask because I had a flexible day and wasn't in a rush to get him back home). He looked wonderful - he doesn't like getting his nails clipped, but they had done a great job! The price was right, and they even offered us a toy from their Christmas toy box. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I have been using All About Grooming for 5 years for my 2 Shi-Tzus. She is professional and very kind. One of my dogs has allergies and is elderly and can't stand for long amounts of time, and she is very kind and patient with him. I am extremely picky and it took me over a year to find her after going through multiple local groomers when I moved here. She is at a new location 1329 Bozeman Avenue, Helena and it is very clean and professional. I would and have recommend her to anyone that is looking for a groomer that cares for your dog and knows what they are doing.

Animal Boarding Kennels
Frightening! I called the ladies at Pawsitively in the morning to set up a time when I could stop by for a tour and interview. They also own a grooming business so I wanted to ensure someone was available. I drove up to the building about 2:00pm that afternoon. The building was small, but homey looking and there was a dachshund sitting in the window. As I approached the front door, I was hit by the smell, but continued on believing it was probably something recent. Upon entering I noticed a young dog in a small yard fence area in the front room looking rather pitiful and a dachshund roaming free who almost escaped out the front door as I entered. The hair was everywhere in the front room and stains all over the carpet including some that I was not sure were not blood. Two women in the process of grooming two large dogs were in the adjacent room calling to me to come in. As I walked carefully through the hair covered areas in order to get to the kennel area, the smell and hair followed. The kennel area consisted of several, what I believe to be former bedrooms, painted in very dark colors and housing travel crates of all shapes and sizes (some on top of others). I was told this was the kennel area where the dogs stay when they are not in group play or out walking. The group play area was, what I believe to be a former little girls room, painted puce with flowers and included 5 dogs of all ages and sizes. No one was monitoring the dogs while they were in the room and a couple of them had urinated on the floor which all were walking in when I approached. No cameras are used and the only staff were the two groomers (owners) and a lady who was outside giving another dog a bath. Walks are conducted as a group, and there is no personal one-on-one interaction. Because there were a couple of purebred dogs in the facility at the time, I asked what was their practice for handling dogs once they go into heat? They responded that they had not had that issue in the past so they had no plans. There were also no cameras and individualized run areas for the dogs.
