My daughter and I went to the dealer on Monday, August 13th, and were greeted at the door by the salesman who my daughter had spoke to about her title (the same one whose title paperwork was filed in a timely manner).  I told him I needed to speak with the manager.  It took quite a few minutes for him to come to the lobby and he didn't even introduce himself and I didn't introduce myself but he already knew who we were.  (Apparently the salesman must have warned him).  I asked him why he sold a car without a title and he said that they do it all the time.  He also said that the previous owner had traded the car without a title and I asked how that was possible when the previous owner was his employee.  He also stated that he was never made aware of the title problem until Friday, August 10th, but he also waited until the 13th to file for a duplicate title.  My daughter cannot drive her new car now because her sticker has expired and he made NO effort to remedy the situation.  I also asked what he was going to do about the power steering pump.  He said he would have to pull it into the shop and see what was wrong.  I told him I wanted something in writing that there would be no charge to us before the car was taken into the shop.  He kept saying he had to check the car to see and I kept telling him that I wanted something in writing that there would be no charge to us for it.  He finally said he wouldn't put anything in writing.  Then, before I said something I would regret, I decided it was time for me to leave.  I said, "You know, word of mouth is a very powerful tool and I know a lot of people in this town."  As I was walking out the door, he said, "Yeah, so do I."
