Paid extra ($50.) for pickup and delivery of snowblower as I am single female and it is a heavy snowblower, had a quote given on 2/8, and told it should be done, with parts received, by 2/12. During this terribly cold, terribly snowy, month I called them on 2/12 and was told the parts weren't in, but they could bring it to me with one incidental bar not in, as the machine worked fine, just would pick up snow better with the bar and they could bring it up when it came in and install it in 5 minutes at my house! Great!! Due to my work hours, they were to bring it on early afternoon 2/15. Took off work and sat for 2 hours waiting, was told another job came up and maybe 5PM, so went back to work. Started heading home about 4:50 and received phone call that maybe 6 or so and they would call me when they were heading my way. Went back to work. About 7 received a call that they were still detained and would the the next day, Saturday, work....well, okay I have missed a productive days by several hours, lost money leaving work, but it is snowing buckets outside, so okay. Waited all day Saturday for someone to show up, there is no contact phone numbers, no answering machine at this place of business, so was unable to leave the house, hoping for them to show up. At 4PM, still nothing, so hired someone to shovel my driveways 8" of snow, $25., as it's still snowing. Never did receive any calls. On Monday the 18th, called the business, they apologized, but someone's car wouldn't start, wondered why at least a phone call couldn't be made to notify me, no response to that. So when will my blower be delivered? Well, we can bring it later today. Again I work long hours, but my neighbor had offered to house it until I got home, so communicated that and they said okay. Especially demanding week at work, 14 hour days until Friday, but neighbor never responded that anyone delivered unit. Friday was off by 5PM, so asked neighbor if he had seen or had my blower and he hadn't. Tried to call the business, no answer, no answering machine still. So the 25th of February, 13 days after being promised and 20" of snow later, I called again and received another apology, requested the $50 drop off and pickup fee be waived due to the repeated inconvenience, lost work, payment for snow removal I had had to pay in the interim, and was told sorry, they would not consider that. In the description of what was seen on inspection, they noted that the oil in the machine was dirty and old. In the description of what was done, they stated they "topped off the oil", not what I was hoping for! So all in all, the unit works, the new bar is on, no noticeable difference in how it picks up snow and I have it back, but totally disappointed in the process!!!!! As I told them when I had them pick it up, I thought it was a fouled spark plug, and that was what it ended up being.
