We recently relocated to this area and were challenged to find a good reliable mechanic. Angie's List helped direct us to this company. We couldn't have been more pleased.
They thoroughly checked my vehicle, gave us a detailed list of what needed to be done, but then they carefully identified a few things that were safety related. We took care of those things and will be going back to them for the rest later.
My Toyota has just under 300,000 miles on it. Right now, it's running great again and will be find on a trip of several thousand miles.
We were so pleased, we took our old truck in for a similar assessment. I think they've saved us from having serious problems on the road.
The staff at the Auto Clinic were professional, friendly, and never pushed us to spend more money than we wanted or to have particular repairs done. We couldn't ask for more.

The cheapest I could find around

They are great to work with. I addition to my own vehicles, they were our go-to shop when I worked with my late friend, Jim Hamik, at his independent dealership. They are prompt, honest, reliable and dependable - and they are fair in pricing.
Perhaps the highest praise I can give them is this: Columbia Falls Auto Clinic is NOT the closest shop to my home. In fact, they are a bit out of the way from my house: I live in Kalispell, and they are located in Columbia Falls, but they are the only place I take my van or my wife's SUV for anything important.

Called and took car in. They took it on a customer waiting and went to work. The issues were corrected and others were found. They advised me of the process and approximate cost. The work was done in complete and professional manner. When they finished and I had driven the car there were no other problems or maintenance issues. Very good outfit. Would definitely use them again if I was in there vicinity and needed service.

I brought my Pontiac Sunfire in because it was making a roaring noise while driving, which I suspected was a bad wheel bearing. While inspecting the car, they found that the front right wheel bearing was worn out (which I already suspected), and they also found that the rear brakes were worn right down to the shoe rivets (not surprising, as my car has almost 150,000 miles on it, and, as it turns out, I last had the rear brakes worked on when it had about 70,000 miles), and the front brakes were down to about 10%-15% left. They called me before taking any further action on the car, showed me exactly what the problem was, and let me make the decision on what should be repaired. I am capable of fixing the front brakes (plus they still have a little life left in them), so I had them repair the front wheel bearing and the rear brakes. I've had them do a lot of work done on other cars, and I always come away knowing that I have been treated honestly and fairly.
The only thing that I don't like about their service is that I used to be able to drop off a car anytime without scheduling before hand, but their reputation in the community has gotten out, so now they are so busy that you have to schedule your service ahead of time.
