Had 3 Brothers install the plumbing for an apartment unit at my home. Disappointing customer service and complete inability to adhere to self imposed deadlines. Was given an estimate of my job only taking 3-5 days, when in fact it took 3 months. Plumbers would only work for a day and then disappear without notice, and would only come back for another days work after calling and asking where they were. The plumbing work was done decently enough, though the plumber left huge messes all throughout the project. They also used several of my tools without asking and didn't return them to where they found them. I was also charge an additional $375 because I asked for a Tee to be installed instead of a 90, which seemed a bit egregious. When I received the invoiced I raised my concerns with the owner and asked for some consideration as my project was pushed out several months causing me to incur many additional, unplanned expenses. My complaints were met with a half-hearted "sorry you feel that way" and a demand of payment letter, along with multiple threats of litigation if I did not pay in full. Owner refused to meet in person or discuss over the phone and just repeated the same threats every time I tried to speak to him about my concerns. Overall, very disappointed in the treatment I received and will not be using 3 brothers for future projects or recommending them to anyone else. In my opinion it would be better to use any number of their smaller, less expensive competitors as the turnaround time and quality is the same.

I know exactly why this agency has less than three stars. the guy came over to inspect an issue with my air conditioner through American Home shield for it not cooling. It stated that he was ready to go after less than 15 -20 mins stating that he found nothing wrong and attempted to blame the air conditioner not working due to the structure of the home. I have never heard an ac man blame the house for the issues with the air. He tried to tell me he checked the Freon and I asked him, to check it again. and I followed him out there. He measured the temperature and stated that the Freon was at right temp which meant there was enough in there. He did not have a gauge anywhere in sight and kept on with the excuses about how it is the house or the acs issue but would not check anything. How do you check Freon pressure without a gauges. W**? I would not waste my time with this pitiful, dishonest company Then they are holding paperwork so I cant go to anyone else

They were very quick in coming out to look at the priblem. I was coerced about the cost of the job and he told me the part would be about $150 plus labor. I told him to let me know for sure. I didn't hear back from him so I called the office and that gal there told me oh we came come out on Wednesday. I again asked what the part was going to cost. She told me 150 also. So I told them to come on out. The guy came out and he was very nice. The problem I had was he wasted a half hr of time looking for nuts and bolts. The bolts on the new fan were to long for the nuts that came with it. So after a half an hr he finally just cut the blots shorter to make it fit. Something that should have been done right from the start. Anyway job completed. I had called the office and told her I didn't think I should have to pay for that wasted half hr. She said she would take care of it. Well when I got my bill I was credited the half hr BUT was charged $195 for the fan. Just the same as that half hr would have cost. Then there was some other other as mall charges. And a 30 dollar part. So I called the office. Was told that part has to be replaced in order for the Warrenty on the fan to be good. So why wasn't I told this from the begining. I told I was unhappy with all of this and she flat out told me she can adjust the price of the fan but will charge for the labor they were NOT going to lose money. I was over charged and then they played games with the bill. NOT an honest company

I would hire this company again in a heartbeat. They were extremely helpful, professional and went above and beyond. They came out the morning I called them and had the work done in record time. Honestly it's not often you run into this caliber of people, I spoke to three people at this company the morning I called for help, and all were extremely helpful and courteous. I will be recommending them, and using them in the future without a doubt!!

It took a couple days to have the city try and locate the main water shutoff outside the house, but they had no luck. Our neighborhood is old and there aren't very good records. So, Wes and another fellow with 3 Brothers came over and used a toner to find the water line, and they were able to locate the shutoff valve right away! They had to dig a little to get to it.. If they couldn't have located the shutoff, the alternative was to move our hot water heater away from the inside water valve (due to limited space), tear open the wall, and freeze the line. Ouch. Once the main water was shut off, they quickly replaced the inside water valve. Then they looked at the outside spigot, which needs to be replaced if the link isn't stopped. The bad thing is that the spigot is inside the concrete slab under our house. To get to it would be very difficult and the concrete would need to be torn up. Fortunately they were able to stop the leak by replacing a cracked bib washer and wrenching it really hard to get it stopped. So, what we thought might turn into a very difficult and costly job turned out to be a quick, affordable job. We are very pleased with 3 Brothers responsiveness, professionalism, and quality of work. They did a great job and I highly recommend them!

Three Brothers determined a method to route water softener and furnace drainage systems to the house's plumbing stack. They first routed the lines along existing venting, precluding the need to create additional holes in any walls. They installed a float pump that collected condensation from the furnace, and then pumped it up and out (vice using gravity through the old outside line). They wired the pump directly into the furnace so that if the pump fails, the furnace turns off - thus avoiding the potential of flooding. They then created an opening into the stack pipe, and using a drainage set-up similar to that employed by a washing machine, routed water softener and furnace drainage into it. They did a great job with the wall repair around the stack to create an exceptionally clean, efficient, and professional method of avoiding the original problem - critical systems of the home tied to outside drainage prone to freezing.

They were okay. In fact, in the week it destroyed the flooring under the hot water heaters and they were willing to rebuild that part to make that solid so that there will be no issues with the hot water heaters. They did a good job and the price was reasonable under that circumstances.

There was trouble from the time they installed it in mid-October till the time they finally finished at the end of November. The furnace kept malfunctioning and, in order to keep the house warm, I had to start burning wood in the fireplace. The head guy blamed the fireplace for the furnace/thermostat malfunction. Additionally, he blamed me for not knowing how to run the new thermostat. When I mentioned having to hire an electrician to find the problem, he finally sent someone to check the electrical system from top to bottom. They found that the motherboard was malfunctioning, so they had the manufacturer and quot;overnightand quot; a new motherboard. At that time, all the ductwork and pipes were also swapped out as well as the old motherboard, so apparently the whole thing was installed improperly. The air conditioning unit was not installed until a month later. I was glad I had withheld paying them till all the work was finished. It is difficult to give them a good rating because of the trouble I had, but in their defense, other than the head guy, their workers were pleasant and punctual, and the work finally did get done.

We had always had a slight sewer odor in our basement. Several companies have been here to look it over that last couple of years. None of them could correct the problem. Three Brothers was able to diagnose the problem and fix it completely. We are very satisisfied.

They are expensive and the service is average. We won't use them again. They couldn't get the stuff right the first time. They didn't even want to go down to a crawlspace, which I know is not the most convenient place, but that's where our hot water heater is. When they signed up for the jobs that they do, they should know there's going to be some issues that they really don't want to have to try. We had to call them back second time to get it fixed and done when we wanted to have it done for the first time correctly. They eventually got here.

In the Fall of 2011, they did a full basement install of plumbing line and a septic on a basement remodel I was doing. The finished price was nearly twice that of the verbal quote they gave me, and took a day and a half longer than originally stated. I accept the fault in not getting a written quote, and can understand how they ran into more problems than they anticipated. However, they didn't stand by their verbal quote. I should also point out, that by the time they started on the project, the person who originally gave me the verbal quote had left the company (I do not know the reasons). Except for the price, I was overall satisfied with the work and the employees were friendly. We petitioned to have the cost reduced, but they denied.

A couple weeks ago, we purchased a new washing machine on the first run, the system backed up flooded about 1/4 of the basement, enough to submerge a portion of newly installed linoleum and part of a rug. Luckily , my father in law was down there at the time and saw the water so we were able to stop it. It is unclear how long the flooding was occurring, but it was caught eventually, and like I said, about 1/4 of the basement. We stopped the machine, threw down towels and started using mops and a shop vac to clean up the water. After cleaning it up, we ran some water in the sinks to determine where the water was coming from (which was shop vacc'ed up immediately). After ruling out a defective machine, we were convinced there was a plug in the line since the water seemed to be coming from the toilet (later determined most of it came from the unfinished shower drain), so we needed to call their emergency service. The technician showed up approximately 2-1/2 hrs after making the call. The technician was competent and friendly. The problem twas identified by a guest in our house at the time (not the technician), who happens to be a professional plumber. A vent line in the sump pump was left to be too long, and was partially blocking the inlet into the sump area. Toilet paper had accumulated along the pipe, so when we ran the washing machine, it slammed all the accumulated paper to the end of the line, plugging it. As soon as the lid to the pump was lifted and the vent pipe moved, all the plugged material came pouring out. (with the help of the snake line the tech was using). All well and good, the tech cut the extra pipe, it all seemed better (and has in fact, had no problem since). So, clear as a bell in my mind, it was their fault and should cover any issues associated with the backup.

Now is when this company looses my respect. I called the company on the following monday, to get an insurance adjuster out to our house to inspect for damages, and to get a cleaning company to come. The manager/owner/head of plumbing (don't remember his name) got with me and wanted to know what the problem was. I'm not going to go into the back and forth of what quickly became a heated argument. It got heated, because the rep told me that it wasn't ALL their fault, that there were and quot;contributingand quot; circumstances that caused the flood. Primarily, his excuse, was that it and quot;flooded because we continued to run waterand quot;. See the above paragraph for my answer to that. He also said that it and quot;was impossible for that kind of flooding to happenand quot;. So, in his opinion, we were culpable for not being present at the second the flood happened, to turn of the water. I told him flat out that he didn't know WTH he was talking about, and asked if he had even asked his service tech what happened, to which he replied he hadn't. So in effect, without even KNOWING the exact details of what occurred, he made a bunch of general assumptions about what we did and didn't do to stop the water, he accuses me of and quot;watchingand quot; the flood happen, and though he didn't directly call me a liar, he implied it.

He finally agreed to send out cleaners to clean the flooded area, which was done. The antique wool carpet could not be cleaned, so the damaged portion was cut off, basically ruining it. We asked for the carpet to be replaced, he settled on $150 after deriding and being overtly rude. At the end, he considered all relations with us and quot;finishedand quot;. Apparently we are unreasonable, but it's not like we will ever call them for service again, unless its for anything else they may have mucked up, and sure as h*** they are gonna fix it.

So in closing, their technicians are capable so for small projects they are probably fine. I see the vent pipe as slight error honestly, I'm sure they were being rushed to get out at the time and it was an oversight. However, the management leaves EVERTING to be desired. The are rude, condescending and outright malicious. if anything goes wrong and its their fault, don't expect it to be an easy ride, and thicken up your skin.

I was surprised that they did not clean up after the job. They also cut a huge hole in one of our walls and just left it; maybe I am naive and that's what plumber's always do. Their responsiveness was very good and I might use them again in the future.
