My dog went in for his annual checkup, two years in a row because it is only about half a mile from where we live. BLOOD WAS TESTED and any necessary shots updated both times. This year I knew my dog was not feeling well but I chocked it up to his advancing age - large dog at 9 1/2 yrs old. He was given a clean bill of health.
Six weeks after his annual visit, my dog took a sudden turn for the worse. Having recently been given a clean bill of health for him at this vet, I had misgivings about taking him back there. We took him to a different vet where a blood test confirmed he was severely diabetic. His blood sugar was extremely high. Now his blood sugar is stabilized with the new vet and I will not return to St Francis.
