Sparky's Property Maintenance

I hired Sparky's Property Maintenance (John, Owner) to mow/trim my lawn. Although I requested that the work be done biweekly, John stated that he would not take the account unless I hired him to do the work on a weekly basis. I agreed. John started the middle of May. I received an invoice for $60 for work performed in May which I promptly paid. During the month of June, I noticed that my lawn was not being maintained on a weekly basis. However, when I received my invoice, I was billed as if the work had been done every week. Because I had not kept track of the actual dates the work had been done, I paid the entire invoice ($120). I marked on my calendar each time my lawn was mowed/trimmed in the month of July. The work was done on two occasions, but I was billed for four. I contacted John to discuss the matter. He became irate; yelling and cussing at me over the phone. He did say that he would be out the following day to take care of my lawn. It had been three weeks since he had been there. I only paid John $60 for the month of July. He did not show up the following day as he had said he would. I waited a week and received no call from John nor was the work he agreed to perform done. I hired someone else to do my lawn maintenance and reported Sparky's to the Better Business Bureau. When John received notice that I had reported him to the BBB, he proceeded to leave threatening voice messages on my voice mail. I contacted the Sheriff's Dept. to assist me in stopping him from contacting me and found out that he was on felony probation for assault with a deadly weapon. My experience with this man was horrible. He is dishonest and very unprofessional.
