IT was a great day. Pro Vac showed up on time and everyone one was delighted with the work he did. Later on as the weather cooled off people said their fireplaces and stoves were working much better and they felt safer. He also did repairs on some of the stoves. Kids were totally fascinated by a guy wearing a tall black tophat standing on the roof. He left each cabin nicely cleaned up. I took him around from cabin to cabin so I was able to get feedback from all my neighbors.

Andy did a great job cleaning my chimney and wood stove. He was a bit late but called me beforehand to let me know, so no big deal there.
One of the problems in Paradise Valley is the wind. I've got a very high roof and most chimney sweeps can't get on the roof due to the wind this time of year, so it is always a challenge finding the exact time and day that the wind will be calm (sort of) so they don't end up killing themselves in a fall. Consequently, getting my chimney cleaned has been a hassle until now.
Andy has the equipment that works from the bottom - up, so he didn't need to go on the roof and was able to completely clean the stove pipe even though the wind was doing it's usual 30mph gusts. He also scraped the inside of the stove to get any creosote that accumulated near the pipe opening, made sure everything was in good shape.
Meticulously clean, very personable and professional. I'll use Andy again in a heartbeat.
Oh, he also is one of the few in his profession that has joined the 21st century and has a website. You can even schedule your appointment through the site! A big plus in my book!
PS. The only reason he got a and quot;Band quot; on the pricing is that he was a bit more expensive than local folks, but I understand that a 50 mile drive costs a bit more.

Andy was very thorough and professional. He may dress like an old-time chimney sweep, but he has modern state-of-the-art equipment, and did a great job. He's very friendly and knowledgeable. We couldn't believe the stuff that he found and cleaned out of our vents. I'm sure that our dryer and ventilation system will not only be much more efficient now, but I also feel that it is much safer - we have a very long dryer vent that was FULL of lint. One little spark in there and the whole house could have burned up. We highly recommend Andy and Pro-Vac.
