Very badly. Our dog was fine when we dropped him off and two hours later they called to tell us he had died on the operating table. According to the vet they do not know what happened. We had them have him cremated and when we went over to pick up his ashes. They presented us with a bill for the entire dental procedure that included charges for medicine they would have sent home with him had he come home with us. Given the circumstances, the fact that they lost him, I feel we should have been charged for his cremation and not much else, if anything. Needless to,say we are still in shock and still very heartbroken over the loss of our pet. The money didn't really matter, we just wanted our dog to be ok. We had gone to this vet for several years and had always been pleased with him as he pulled our dogs through some rough times. We will never know what happened in this instance . Winston was perfectly fine the morning we dropped him off . We will never know if something really happened with him or whether the vets office screwed up in some manner. Would I take another dog in there and let them put him or her under, no, I would not. Our dog was part of our family and to lose him like, this was devastating. I am certainly not implying that the vet is incompetent or even that he was negligent. I believe he is a very caring man who does his best to take care of animals in his hospital. I simply intend for this to be an honest review of a horrible situation so others can judge for themselves.
