Where to begin? We paid MMC 10% of the total contract in July 2012. Actual work on the project did not start until February 2013. We can see every place that a wall was and every place that an outlet or switch was located. Mark is incredibly inept at taping and texturing and even more inept at painting. We have had to pay 3 times to get the walls and ceiling fixed so you cannot see all the patch marks. We had a commercial grade hood installed by mark and he gouged the top of the hood trying to but the flue in, it cannot be repaired and will need to be replaced. Mark is responsible for replacing the hood however he is dragging his feet and keeps trying to have it "fixed" which only makes it worse. The flue also has an unsightly gap at the top. The tile work around the hood has silicone grout extending up on to the ceiling and haphazardly applied on the edges. We had asked for the entire wall to be tiled however Mark decided only to do a part of if it. We also had a pot filler installed and Mark placed it to where it barely reaches the burner. Several times Mark "disappeared" from the job site and things did not happen on our job site. Several times subcontractors would contact us directly because they needed questions answered, let into the job sites, and even to get paid. Mark also did some of the exterior work including installation of fascia and soffit. The soffit sagged and had gaps in many places. The fascia and soffit was started in July 2013 and to date (November 2013) it is not complete. Lack of communication and professionalism has been a theme of our interactions with MMC. We have asked for a timeline for completion of the project on a weekly basis but have received nothing from Mark. He has tried to blame others for the problems on our job site. We are very disappointed with overall quality of the project, timeliness, professionalism, and ethics of MMC. Finally, during construction of our home we had items stolen including priceless family heirlooms.
Description of Work: We hired MMC to completely renovate our home. We wanted the upstairs of our home to be gutted almost to the studs and remodeled. This required the removal of some walls completely and the movement of walls in other areas. In the process some of the outlets and switches needed to be relocated as well. We installed new wood flooring, 2 new fireplaces and a completely new kitchen.
