Jeff responded immediately to any questions as well as gave prompt notifications regarding work progress or any changes that were required. I contacted him with very little time to prepare for the trenching portion due to previously scheduled concrete operations, and he took the time to inspect what was needed and get the job done even though he wasn't given much time. I will use Elk Ridge for all future electrical jobs.

He called me back and came out to give me an estimate the same day I contacted him. He was on time and professional. The quote he gave was less then what I had expected. (I had researched costs before I called.) He explained everything he did and cleaned up after he was done.

I called Jeff Stock of Elk Ridge Electric on a recommendation from Rimrock Lighting. Jeff responding to my call immediately and we set up a date for him to look at what we needed done and to provide an estimate. Jeff was here exactly on time, was very pleasant and thorough in his estimate. We then set up a time to do the job. Again, he was here right on time, took care of all the work needed and handed me a detailed bill explaining all the charges. It was very reasonable. Jeff is very professional, knowledgeable, and an all around very nice guy. He does quality work. I would hire him again in a split second!

We purchased the new CFL's and were astounded with the change the higher energy lighting provided. Mr. Stock specializes in working for and quot;seniorsand quot; and is fully aware of their need for decent lighting. My wife has complained about the lousy lighting in the condo ever since we moved here - it shows nicely in daylight, but has no windows in half the rooms - so we depend on artificial lighting, lots! She knit under one new CFL last night, and was thrilled with the difference, vs.a room-full of 2700 K lamps.
Mr. Stock basically spent an hour talking himself out of any work for us, and did us a HUGE favor educating us on buying the RIGHT CFL's. So we will get a local guy familiar with the building to help with the microwave, and call it good!

I am thankful for having been guided to this provider. Jeff quite possibly prevented an eventual fire from occuring in my house. He found that the failed light had been stressed by using the wrong kind of bulb. The wall switch and the light fixture both showed evidence of overheating. Jeff went the extra mile by making a trip to Ace Hardware where he was able procure a new fixture, as well as a new light cover which spread out the light more evenly, and he replaced the light bulb with one that is much more energy efficient.
Jeff arrived on time and he presented a professional appearance. He wasted no time in getting the job done . I appreciated his friendly demeanor, and at no time did I feel that he was trying to maximize my bill. I would call him again, without hesitation when future need of electrical work arises.

I'm a member in Seattle but needed and elecrician that could do some work on my mother's house in Billings Mt. Jeff Stark's mission statement (on his web site) was appealing to me since both my mother and I are senior citizens and it's nice to find someone who cares about this group. The reviews on google were good and so are the ones here on Angie's list so i called him from Seattle and set up the appointment for today at 8AM. He was here on time as we planned, got right in and found and fixed the simple problem that caused the outlets to not work. Both my mother and I liked Jeff very much and we now have his contact information for future electrical work that we might need on her Billings home. I feel very good to have found someone whose experience and ethics I can trust. I absolutely will call him again and will recommend him to anyone in Billings area who needs a good electrician.

Jeff, the owner, who does all of the work, is excellent in every respect. He shows up on time, he is very knowledgeable and explains everything, and he listens and makes recommendations which meet your needs, as long as it is in code. I felt very confident in his expertise and in what he was doing, and he works efficiently. He inspires trust and he follows through on it. Some of the work was challenging, because of the age of the house, and he did a good job and he did what was needed and did not try to sell additional add-ons that would have been nice but would have cost a lot because of the way the house was originally wired. We discussed these but the expense outweighed the benefit and we agreed on a balance between effectiveness and cost. His pricing is a good value. He also observed that there were several kinds of light bulbs around the house, particularly in the kitchen and in the bathrooms, resulting in different shades of lighting. We recently moved into the house, which we have owned for several years and had rented. I had always wanted to change the bulbs, but it is a big job (the kitchen alone consists of 8-12 overhead, long fluorescent bulbs and panels). Jeff's expertise includes light bulbs and he educated me on what was available and he offered to purchase the new bulbs and install them all within the scope of the original bid. We ended up with all new bright bulbs in these rooms all at same level of brightness, and the difference was amazing. My husband immediately noticed it when he turned on the lights. It is a wonderful feeling to get more than you expected and to become better informed as a consumer in the process.
Jeff is also personable and has a good personality. He obviously values his clients. He wants to build long term clients and he treats people like they are special. I will use him again and I recommend him highly - and already have recommended him to others.

I went through the seniors program here in town and got some other names. From one of those names a man who was not a electrical contractor told me of someone and he came out worked on solving my problems told me how to live with some the more expensive work but showed me that all was safe and should not have any more fires. He also gives senior discounts and tries to work with you on paying the bill. His work is well done. I think he might be an alternative to the bigger contractors who are too busy for small residential jobs and are too pricey for people on the edge right now. He is a nice guy and has a great sense of humor.
