I brought the contractor in for a water damage claim on my homeowners policy, the contractor expanded the scope of work to include mold remediation services in the attic by means of soda blasting with the insurance adjuster wich I agreed to however the contractor did not use any of the equipment standard in this type of work and it resulted in my entire house and all of our possesions being completely covered with the insulation, wood debris, soda, and mold spores from the attic remediation work. when the contractor was confronted with the issue he denied any wrong doing and refused to pay for any cleanup and still tried to collect more than what he would have been entitled to had he done his job properly. the bid for cleanup from a reputable company was over $10,000 far more than I could afford, I wound up having to send my wife and baby to stay with her mother while I spent weeks cleaning every square inch of the interior of the home and all of our possesions.
