Have had great experiences in the past with Power Train Plus. However the last few times, the communication was poor, the pricing not accurate to the estimates. This visit was to be the last time I would take a vehicle to Power Train. Power Train was unable to diagnose what the issue was with the truck, and instead started to replace parts hoping that would fix the issue. The parts were very expensive and they proceeded without my approval, then expected payment. Regrettably I can longer recommend Power Train anymore. If you have a diesel, I recommend taking it to shop that specializes in diesels.
Description of Work: Attempted to fix a low power issue in a Ford Diesel.

 + -1 moreDid a very good job. I did find one bolt slightly loose, but my vehicle is known for vibrations. I tightened said bolt and all is good. Tom is the man for having driveshafts worked on!

muffler repair
 + -1 morePowertrain Plus was recommended by another mechanic I trust. The local Chevy dealership told me it was a head gasket leak. Powertrain Plus found a loose radiator hose. Leak is no more. Very excellent service and honesty. Will be taking my truck to them if I ever need service.
Description of Work: They found my leaking coolant source on my Chevy Duramax diesel pickup.

 + -1 moreI pulled up to the office of Power Train Plus, in Belgrade, MT, walked inside, handed the manager my keys, took a seat in their waiting room, read a bit of my book, and within 15 minutes, my truck pulled up outside the waiting room door, the service tech came inside, handed my keys to the manager, and I was astounded that the new muffler was installed that quick. I am so happy I called Power Train Plus! They are a top-notch professional automotive repair company and I will be going back to them anytime I need repairs or maintenance on my truck. I had had a service tech from another company look at my muffler, and he didn't want to touch it. Said I needed to take it to a specialist because he wasn't equipped to replace that type of muffler. But, if I couldn't find anyone to do it, he would - but it would take all day for him to do it. I am so happy I called Power Train Plus.  + 0 moreService was excellent. Even though the bearing race had gotten so hot that it had to be cut off, they made it seem like no big deal. They got the new bearings on in no time at all, and now we have a happy 15 year old on the road again.
Description of Work: I had a wheel bearing on an old Toyota truck that needed to be replaced. I started the job myself, but ran into problems (lack of technical experience in that department!). Gave the guys at Powertrain and call. They got us scheduled and on the road within two days. Service was outstanding, and the price was very fair!! We really appreciate their excellent service and getting the little Toyota back on the road.
