Quickly copie the old threshold piece in wood.

When I picked up the armoire from his shop, it was COVERED in saw dust.  I could not see details, but what I did see looked acceptable.  He packed it in my SUV using old blankets & towels which I provided.  I stressed the importance of packing since I was driving the piece of furniture back to my home in Memphis, TN.  The armoire had been taken apart with each piece being wrapped & padded or so I thought.  When I arrived home my husband & I were unloading it from the vehicle.  One of the 1st things we noticed was that the "finish" had rubbed off on the carpet of my brand new car!  Brown stain in 3 different places on my light tan carpet.  After unwrapping each piece & placing them inside we began to notice runs.  The top piece is the very ornate beautiful icing on the top of this armoire!  It had 6 places on the front that looked like runs.  They are 1/2- 1 inch wide runs......all 6 of them.  Then, there was a dent made by one of the door hinges on the side.  It was deep & was down to natural wood so it was a different color.  Probably the most perplexing thing was the mirrors.  5 foot beveled mirrors adorn each door on the armoire & ZERO care was taken in preserving these!  They were absolutely covered with stain & varnish.  Needless to say I was completely un satisfied with the work that was performed.  I called Thad immediately.  He apologized and was very willing to walk me through the steps to fix my furniture.  How thoughtful!  He recommend no less than 6 products which I could drive down to a local hardware store to buy myself, and then "fix" it myself.  If I wanted to refinish the furniture "myself" then I wouldn't have ever paid him $1700 to do it for me!  I was outraged.  Then he suggested that he could drive over to do it himself in a few weeks as he was going to be in the Memphis area.  He promised to call & let me know which day he was coming.  I never got that call.  I wish I could post pics of the shape he left my furniture in.  It took me over 2 hours to scrape the mirrors and clean all the mess he left on them.  VERY EASILY PREVENTED!  Tape & cover them!  I would never use this place again & I am recommending to my family, that lives in the area, to not use them again either.  Very disappointed and dissatisfied. Vicksburg Woodworks could care less though.
