After a neighbor highly recommended Darby Roach to me, I called Darby and said that I hoped he could paint my window shutters (4 pairs), a new front entry door, and the door jamb and frame. I told him that the front door hadn't been installed yet and that he could wait until after the installation and then paint all the pieces during one visit. He provided an estimate over the phone.
A few days later, Darby called and said he had some free time and could come by and paint the shutters. I agreed. He arrived as scheduled on 7/28/14 and painted the shutters expertly. (I had provided the paint.) After the new door was installed on 7/31, I left a message to that effect for Darby. He returned on 8/6; first, he did some needed prep work, and then painted the door, jamb, and frame. Darby applied two coats of paint to every piece he painted, and he did an excellent, high-quality job. He takes pride in his work--understandably so. I paid a total of $235 for all his work.
Darby Roach is a true professional with a winning personality, and is a pleasure to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again. He does both interior and exterior painting.
