He did a good job, worked for appx 15 hours and charged $1500.00-i think a $100/hour is way to high a price-double what it should be.

Kenny is a master worker.  Knowledgeable in (what seems to be) everything, he and his nephew knocked out this huge job in a very timely fashion, especially considering that they did every bit of the work themselves.  He listened to everything we wanted and worked around all of the problems that he found.  The pantry he built was incredible, and everything was built in a first-rate way.

Contacting him was an issue sometimes, since he rarely answered his telephone and doesn't do email (as far as I can tell), although he usually called back in a timely fashion.

Since I live in an older home Mr. Hestor first had to remove the cracked texturing on some walls and scrape the ceiling where there were cracks.  In addition, he had to caulk around all 7 doors so there was a fair amount of prep work.  The room looks beautiful - no more cracks, the texturing matches the rest of the walls and no paint on my hardwood floors.  I chose to buy the paint and had to buy an extra gallon in the middle of the job and when it didn't quite match what had been painted, Mr. Hestor repainted without being asked as he wanted me to be satisfied.  The other work like regrouting, caulking and carpentry work turned out great.  Now my doors have no gap at the bottom, all baseboards meet the hardwood floors, the regrouting looks great.  Mr. Hestor arrived each morning on time and he was done in 3 days with a helper.  $2,000 does seem like a lot of money for 3 days but he did what he said he would do and didn't leave a mess.

Mr. Hester arrived to look at the bathroom three days after I called him and called me with an estimate the day after he said he would. The estimate was right where I thought it would be and was reasonable. We agreed on a scope of work on Friday and he arrived promptly Monday morning ready to work. He said it would take two weeks but only took a week and a half. The demo work took a day and it was a messy one where next time I would ask for some plastic on the doorways to keep the rest of the house from getting so dusty. Each day Mr. Hester arrived promptly and each day I saw good progress toward the finish. Mr. Hester explained to me each day what he would do and when he ran into unexpected issues we discussed what he recommended. For example, insulation was added to the walls when we discovered there was none. He was very accomodating when I made small changes. Overall I am very pleased with my new bathroom. The workmanship is excellent. Mr. Hester did exactly what he said he would do when he promised.

We were newlyweds and both work full time and needed someone who was dependable to completely remodel our old, small bathroom. We found Mr. Hester, who seemed to be the best, and he was. He was always there on time, did exactly what he said he would do, and the best thing he did, other than go beyond expectations, was he did not leave a mess when he was finished. I was extremely satisfied with his work and would highly recommend him to anyone. He will be coming back to do more remodeling for us in the future!
