Alan’s training started in HVAC school in 1986, giving him over 30 years of experience in the industry. He went on to received many valuable certifications over his career which prepared him to operate the #1 Heating, AC Installation and Repair company in Greater Hattiesburg, MS. The 45-year-old duct work they were working on was disconnected and taped together. It's near 100 here in the summer and the A/C was running all the time. The attic was well air-conditioned. Our cooling bill was out of sight, $450 a month. Pierre was up in the attic about an hour, Alan occasionally supplying him with parts, and he fixed the problems with the duct work..
I asked Alan about using the whirly vents to save cost, and he explained that it wouldn't do the job that needed to be done.
Meanwhile, while Pierre was working on the duct work, Alan, a master electrician, at the same time installed the two power vents.
Today, with the power vents working and the duct work in good shape, the A/C kicks on and off at frequent intervals, telling me our next electric bill is going to be considerably less.
Without our asking, they repaired the pull-down stairs to the attic.
Partway through the work a third worker, Jacob, appeared, to help. He is Alan's son. They all worked together like a well-oiled machine.
All in all, they made the repairs a pleasant experience for us.
