This is NOT a contractor that I would ever recommend!!! I was referred to this contractor through the Home Depot Pro Referral program. I called and set up an appointment for him to come out. My husband had taken off work to be there. So I texted him to verify that he was coming about an hour before and he said that he was pouring concrete and wouldn’t be able to make it. So we rescheduled for the same time the next day. My husband then, again, took more time off work to be there and I texted again to make sure he would show up. He said he was just pulling up. So he came in looked around, wrote a few things down on his notepad and I wrote down my email address so he could send me an estimate. I asked him when he thought he would have it ready, and he replied sometime tomorrow afternoon. So tomorrow afternoon came and went and that evening I emailed him asking, “can you email me a copy of the estimate please?” He responded, “Yes, I will. When I get it done.” Five days later I sent another email asking him not to forget us (with our address and estimate request). A week later (after the original referral) Home Depot sent me a review request to review this contractor. I did, and hoped that it would turn around for the better, but the response that I received from Ken Edgerly was not kind nor professional in any manner. His response was, “I do not work for Home Depot, I do not wish to work for you” My response is as follows, “We have secured financing from another source other than Home Depot and would have made sure you were paid if that’s what you are worried about. Instead of stringing us along for a week now, it would have been more professional to say something like, “I really appreciate you thinking of me but I’m really backed up right now,” even if you didn’t want the job. That way you would not have received a poor review and risked your reputation.” If you want to waste your vacation time off from work waiting for a contractor that doesn’t show up, if you like being strung along and wait for an estimate you’ll never get, then this is your guy!
