He came and gave me an estimate of $800 for materials and labor and explained everything that he would do as to what my roof needed. He wrote me out a handwritten contract and signed it. That afternoon, I gave him  $100 to purchase roofing screws and 1 gallon of Hot Patch and rollers. The next morning, he came w/ 2 other workers and we went to the Hardware store and bought bleach, Elastomeric  (he said we needed 3 5-gallon cans in case of bleed-through), rollers, brushes and 20 feet of flashing. We came back to my home and they swept the roof, bleached it, tightened a few screws, installed the flashing and used the gallon of Hot Patch and 2  1/2 of the 5-gallon Elastomeric. He worked about 4 hours and said he needed $600 to pay his crew. I gave him that. He said he would be back the next day to finish up. They did come back and  before they would finish,  he asked for $600 more because it was more work and time than he had originally estimated. I got worried and called my son to come over. He arrived and I paid Dion Jackson the other $600. My son witnessed me pay him the $600 but he had to leave and get back to work. Then, Mr. Jackson told me that I needed 1 more bucket of Elastomeric. I gave a crew member $100 to go purchase it. He came back.  They finished the work in 2 hours and left. Mr. Jackson said he would come back at no charge for a year if I had any problems. He wrote me a signed statement  to this effect. I was very confused at that point. A  few days later, we had a big storm come in and my roof was leaking in places that it has never leaked. Water was pouring in over my stove and through a vent over my dryer. This is a 2005 trailer and has never leaked. I only had a problem w/ the porch addition leaking. I called and a crew member came and repaired those leaks. He was an honest man. He told me that Mr. Jackson had taken advantage of me and over-charged me $800. He felt really bad about it. Mr. Jackson has not come back and I still have leaks. Also, he took a 5-gallon bucket of the Elastomeric when he left. I have my receipts for all the materials but I paid him $1200 in cash because he said that he couldn't cash checks due to his account being messed up. To this day, he has not returned to finish repairing nor will he return my calls. He is a RIP-OFF and I am gullible and too trusting. I have learned a valuable lesson and will have to just go with it. I DO NOT recommend that anyone trust this man to do work for them.
