Daniel Floor Service

Mr. Daniel was at first very helpful. He came over and gave estimate to refinish and do the repairs. He came recommended and did the original installation of the floors so we thought he would be the best contractor for the job. I questioned him about certain information that he gave me like "$1000/gallon for adhesive" which he totally blew off. Then the problems began after I paid the deposit. He would schedule the repairs and then at the last minute reschedule. Finally, he came and he had others supervise because he and his family were in Memphis at a ball tournament. When I asked about removing the quarter round, he said his man was so good that it did not need to be removed. Their equipment would not damage it. The job was completed, I thought, until the painters came to paint the baseboards and quarter round. It is totally unsalvagable and I am going to have to replace it in all rooms he refinished. Mr. Daniel would not return my calls that continued for over a year. He refused to come over and inspect the work. When I finally talked to him in October 2009, he told me the painters should have caulked the quarter round. The painters disagreed because of the shear amount of damage. After doing research I found that the first step in refinishing hardwood floors is to remove the quarter round. This was not done. Also, I had a table removed from inside to the porch and had to pay to have it moved back inside. Two outlets in the center of the living room and den were broken. I also had to wet down the materials that were left by the fence on pinestraw for fear of combustion. This was not a pleasant experience and I would not use Daniel flooring again. I think he took advantage of a woman and ripped me off.
