A-1 LOCK & SAFE

I received a recommendation from a neighbor. I called their north Jackson telephone number. The person answering was very flexible about scheduling a time. Since I called mid-morning, he offered to send some that afternoon at 3:30 p.m. I arrived at the house at 3:25 p.m. About 3:55 p.m. I received a call on my cell phone that the service person was running late, but would be at the house in 10 to 15 minutes. He arrived in 15 minutes. He looked at the door and gave the price for re-keying the lock which was what I had received on the telephone. He looked at a second lock on the door and candidly admitted that the set screw was broken and changing the cylinder would be of no use. He replaced the cylinder, told me that because it had not been used, it would be tight at first. He also answered my question about where I could purchase a mortise set for the door in Jackson. After he left, I tried locking the door, but realized that the bolt did not align with the opening to in the door frame. I do not know whether he would have repaired this. However, I would have advised him that I would repair that myself.
