The Doctors and techs at the Animal Clinic of Oxford are great. They are very kind and gentle to my dog, and are willing to discuss in detail all factors in the pet's medical needs. The good, the bad, and the ugly.
They also do a great job of seeing last minute patients.
One thing I don't like about the ACO, I was not able to wait (in house) while my dog was having a small procedure that she had to be put under for. I did not like having to drop her off early in the morning, and wait to pick her up late that afternoon, for a 20 minute procedure. She is scared of most dogs and freaks out in cages, so it broke my heart to leave her there alone and scared. I would've much rather taken her there at the time of the surgery, waited, and been there when she woke-up -- by-passing the need to leave her alone in a cage surrounded by other dogs. This may not me a problem for most people, but it is for me.

I have nine kittens of which three have a eye infection. I had previously seen Dr. Harlan, a vet in Oxford, MS about the problem and purchased L-Lysine oral gel from him. The tube that I had purchased was almost used up and I called Dr. Harlan which was told by him that he had retired. I then called several other veterinarians around the Oxford area and inquired whether or not they carried the vitamin supplement. I called three veterinarians prior to calling the Oxford Animal Clinic of which all of them stated that they did not have the vitamin in stock, however, if I were to bring the cat's in for a checkup, they would be able to order it within 2 or 3 days.
I then called the Oxford Animal Clinic; the receptionist answered, I introduced myself as well she did in kind. I asked if they carried the vitamin supplement and she said yes and asked what did I need it for. I explained to her my previous visit to Dr. Harlan and that I was almost out of the vitamin supplement. She then voluntarily told me that since I had already seen Dr. Harlan, there was no need for me to bring my cats in for a checkup and I had to do was bring in my tube of medicine and they would sell me a new tube.
I drove to 17 miles to the clinic and walked into their lobby and explained to the receptionist what I was there for. I had to fill out some paperwork on the kittens including their names and ages. Then she went to their back room and brought out the vitamin supplement
which I paid her for and she thanked me for my business. She was very nice and helpful beyond my expectations. She went out of her way to be helpful while other clinics had done nothing other than want me to bring my cats in for a checkup.
