Horrible.  He was backed up 2 weeks when I dropped the mower off.  After 4 weeks I called him.  He had forgotten about my mower and said that he would put it on the top of his list.  I called him again after 2-3 more weeks.  He said he could not figure out what the problem was - might be the carburator, might be the pull cord, might be....  Called him again 2 weeks later, he was trying to locate a part - but said that it was hard to locate the part for that mower.  (I don't know why it would be hard to find a part - th mower was purchased at Sears).  Approximately 3-4 weeks later he told me that it was ready for pick up. The picked up the mower, one of the parts (the primer button) was supposed tobe replaced (it was old and cracked, but not leaking yet.)  The primer button had not been replaced.  He wrote on my ticket that he would replace it free  - just bring it back by later.  He would order the part and put it on. When I picked up the mower it was raining, so he just loaded the mower in my SUV and I took the mower hom.  We unloaded it after it quit raining (the next day)  - only to find that it still does not run correctly.  It does NOT work.  I  called him, he said that it was running fine after he put a replacement part (not sure which one) on.  By this time, the mowing season was almost over.  I have a mower that did not work, a part that was not replaced, but that would be if I brought it back to him.  He said that like it was so easy.  He was aware that I am a grandmother, no one to help me with lifting it (it is heavy for a single man) and no access to a trailer, etc.
