I originally called Decks for Less to build a fence in my backyard. I initially selected them at the end of May 2015. They scheduled a time to come out to do an estimate. On that day they never showed or called, upon calling them and leaving a message I spoke to Dawn and was told that she forgot about my appointment and would need to reschedule. On the second time around they showed up and measured and finalized quote. I was initially told that they had several other projects and it would be mid-June before they got to my fence. I waited two weeks and had not heard any update so I called and left a message. After a few days they called me back and said they might get to it next week. This process went on for the next few weeks. I would call and leave a message, usually once a day for a few days before they would call back. Finally, I was told that they thought they would be getting to it the last week of June, and they would call me back with a more definitive date. That never happened and I called and left a message that Friday and then again on Monday June 29. As a surprise, Dawn actually answered the phone, which I think is the only time in the whole process they answered the phone when I called. She said she was out of the office and would call me back in 45 minutes when she got back to the office. That never happened. I called and left a message that night and have never been called back. I called another company that night who begins work a week later.
I understand that projects like these are somewhat influenced by weather which may extend timelines. My biggest issue was the severe lack of communication in terms of an update or just returning phone calls.
