I do have a recommendation for the auto service and it is Cecil's Automotive. My experience with this company has been good. They are very prompt. I had a good experience. They are honest. They diagnose it and fix it. I used them about 30 years ago when I lived in Texas but a different branch. My parents have used them over the 30 years period. I get the impression that they are honest and very prompt. Overall a good experience. When I went and we talked that the previous repair might be under warranty and he did help to locate a paper for me and to take a photograph of it and give it to me before they had started work so it was pretty impressive.

I've been taking my vehicles here for awhile.. I trust Jerod and the guys, 100%
Jerod told me that ill need brakes soon; but, I still have some time left on these.. The majority of places would go ahead and tell me I needed new brakes now... They never fix or change anything unless I really need it....

It was a pleasant experience, and they worked well with me on the price; they offered a competitive price, but they worked with me when I had some concerns. I have recommended them to other people based on my experience with them. They were pretty honest. I have used more skilled service centers, but I would use them again in the future because they will work with me on the price.

I had made an appointment for all this work to be completed... Jarod is the dude who runs this place.. Even though he is young, he still knows his way around the shop and vehicles... It was going to be a while for my car to be fixed; so, they gave me a ride home, so I wouldn't have to sit there all day.. They called me later that afternoon; and, I had someone to bring me back... The prices are reasonable, compared to a dealership. Can't ask for better people... They will not tell you that you need something, unless you actually do... They won't try to cheat you and are upfront with everything.. Every time I walk in to get my oil changed, Jarod remembers my name.... Now that is good...

I was having difficulty shifting my manual transmission 2002 Ford Explorer Sport. Guessing it was the transmission and based on review's on Angie's list, I selected Cecil's Automotive, the Olive Branch, MS location for the repair. I had just moved to the area and did not yet have a mechanic I trusted. I spoke to the manager, Jarrod, on arriving and asked him about Cecil's and why I should use their services. He laughed and explained that if I wanted the lowest cost provider, it wouldn't be Cecil's. "My grandfather is Cecil. Before opening his first service center in 1979, he ran several service stations. We won't put junk parts into your vehicle, so we won't be the cheapest. But we'll be fair and do the work right." Jarrod also explained that it was Friday and if it was the transmission, it would likely be Monday before it was finished -- "We are actually closed on Saturdays." I was surprised by them being closed on Saturday's, but I liked what I heard, and left my vehicle with them for both the transmission repair and a lube/oil/filter. Before close of business that day, which was Friday, Jarrod had followed up, explained that the diagnostic had shown it was the clutch, not the transmission, and gave me a total price before tax for the repair and the LOF. He also explained that the slave cylinder in the hydraulic clutch would also need replaced. Finally, he told me that they would finish the work on Monday. I had to make arrangements to get my wife to work on Monday because she works evenings, so I called Cecil's about 1:00pm that day. Jarrod apologized and said that he had been extremely busy and unable to call, but that they were finishing the truck and paperwork as we spoke. I asked if the car would be ready by 3:00pm that day, or I would have to make arrangements to get my wife to work. Jarrod told me that I could pick up the car at 2:00pm, if not earlier. And sure enough, the car and paperwork was ready and waiting when I arrived at 2:00pm. Jarrod was professional and courteous, the followup on the car was great, the price was dead on what was quoted, and the work was delivered on time as promised. All-in-all a great experience.

The young man at the counter was very polite. I have used them before and he always calls if anything unexpected comes up and calls and explains what was done when the work is finished. They did not try to do anything that I didn't need and didn't try to talk me into any service that I had not asked for.
