ADVENTURE POOLS & CONSTRUCTION

The experience with Adventure Pools & Construction was very bad. The major issue was they put the gunite pool in and there was a crack so I called them and they said they would fix the crack. They notified me that it would not match the rest of the finish on the pool and since the pool was almost new, I told them that wasn't satisfactory and they would have to refinish the whole inside of the pool and they refused to do that. The contractor would also not return telephone calls during the construction. The construction took 8 months, I think because he would do other jobs including jobs down at the coast for commercial pools. He's very unreliable. I did finally take him to small claims court and made a judgement against him but he has never paid the judgement. He should have fixed it the first place and the small claims said he should have and he still hasn't to this day.

Prior to signing a contract I asked for some references and the installer gave me 4. I called each and went and inspected 3 of the installations. They seemed good and the people were happy.
Installation went ok. An issue came up about an agreed-ed upon Freeze timer. The installer told me the salt generator controller was also a freeze timer. It was not. After several phone calls someone appeared in my back yard without notice and he installed a freeze timer. Honesty problem.
8 Months after installation one of the long sides of the pool deck (Cement) began to sink. I called the installer and was reassured by the secretary (Tammy) that they would get to me ASAP, I followed up with an email. After 10 days I called again and again she assured me that I was at the top of their list. Now 3 weeks later they are not returning my calls and the walkway is beginning to break away from the pool.  I had a structural company come out and inspect the problem and they said the dirt my not have been compacted enough for such a load. They advised taring out the entire length of the walkway and replacing it. Knowing it is attached to the coping this may cause the entire pool top side to need to be replaced I am in an ackward position. Contacting an attorney. Integrity problem.
