I called the business and spoke with the receptionist and told her i wanted an electrician to wire line in from the box to my laundry room for a dryer(old house). Told me someone will call me soon. Guy called me about an hour later and he scheduled to come out in the morning. He was right on time. He did an assessment and told me it would be $300 minimum and possibly $500 total. He showed me step by step what he was going to do. It sounded so simple that I decided to do it myself. I paid him $60 for his one hour of time and consult. Wife didn't understand why he charged us but I knew his time and knowledge was worth the money. Dryer is running perfect with zero problems and up to code.
We had to take out a loan to cover the expenses of this, but The Service Company was able to come to our home quickly and promptly to resolve our issues. In my opinion $900 is a lot of money, but our safety is more important than any amount of money!
Brian, the tech even replaced the outlet in the laundry room, though he said the old one still looked salvageable. He listened to our concerns and did what we felt comfortable with as customers.
