Hometown Food Taxi

I didn't feel like getting out one day so I decided to give this service a try. I called first to see if I actually spoke to someone and I did!! His name was Andy and he was very helpful to me answering questions about the service and how it worked. I found out they are contracted with many local restaurants to provide meal delivery anywhere within a 10 mile radius!! Anyway, after talking with Andy I found out that orders can be placed directly online...WOW!! So, being the Internet savvy person I am, LOL, I decided to check it out. Initially, when I tried to load the site it prompted for me to install Silverlight, a Microsoft Browser plug-in. This is a one time download only so don't get discouraged. The site required it so I went ahead with the download and it installed fine. After a few minutes I was on the website ready to order. The site was secured by GoDaddy.com so I knew I could trust it with my personal information during checkout. Ordering was as simple as clicking on the "Place Order" tab at the top and then clicking on the "view menu" button for the restaurant I wanted to order from. Adding items to my order was just a simple click of a "cart icon" on the right side of each item. Checkout was smooth and appeared to be integrated directly with the site so I never had to get redirected to another payment site with a different Internet address (I hate when that happens!) During checkout it gave me the option to pay Cash On Arrival or "Debit/Credit Card". I chose the card method since I didn't have any cash on me (although its nice to know you can pay by cash for those of you still not trusing the Internet with your card info). Anyway, my order was processed and I printed my online receipt. Within a minute or two I was contacted to confirm my order and was even offered a free canned drink since my order total was over $30 (Awesome! I thought.) As far as arrival time, it was close to the estimated tme. The actual arrival time was about 43 minutes. I was quoted 35 - 45 minutes when I was called back. The website stated 30-90 minutes in the FAQ section so I was very delighted with the actual arrival time of the driver. The driver was also very friendly and courteous!! I love this service and I plan to use them again soon....I have a few friends coming over this weekend to hang out and I think I know who to call! Thanks Hometown Food Taxi for your great service!!
