I would definitely not recommend them. I wasn’t very happy with them. He provided the service about a month ago but he just recently finished. I’m using a lot of contractors in redoing this house. He charged me a down payment for the $5,000 job. I gave him $2,000 to start the job and then I told him that I would give the rest of the money after the job. When he finished doing not even all of the work, he said he needed another $2,000 to order the A/C unit. I told him I wanted to pay him when he finished the entire job. I didn’t find it fair because he didn’t mention that when he initially got the contract. So I gave him another $2,000 for another week and a half to do the job and then when he finished doing the job, he cut a huge hole in my ceiling that wasn’t supposed to be there. I told him that hole wasn’t supposed to be there and he said that he’s not a sheetrock guy and asked the contractor that I’m using to fix those holes and it will only be $30 to $100 in material and they should easily be able to fix it. I told him that it’s his responsibility to fix it. It wasn’t quoted in the contract. He said the unit that he had put in wall, he put it in the wrong place. So he put these holes around my kitchen cabinets where he thought the unit would fit in but it didn’t fit in. He cut some more holes in my living room and kinda busted up my ceiling. It wasn’t him that’s doing the work, that’s another thing. They did a horrible job. He ran all of the duct work. The unit is working fine. He got me the right unit but he did a job that wasn’t very professional. I definitely would not use him again. I went with him because I was referred to him by a family member who used him before. He’s like a smaller guy and I thought I’d save a little bit of money. I never checked to see if he was on Angie’s List or not and maybe I should have looked to have a little more insight. Those holes are still in my roof. He contracted my contractor to fix it. On top of that, he was supposed to pay my contractor to fix the issue and he wound up not even paying him. He gave him an envelope which my contractor thought contained money but when he got home, he discovered that there was no money in it. He called back to tell Lamar that there’s nothing in the envelop and he said he must have gotten the wrong envelop out of the work place. He said he’ll call back later but there’s no more correspondence with them.
