Miller Inspection

That was not a good experience.  They did work for us.  He made a hole in our ceiling and said that he would come back to fix it and he did not.  When he was doing work some paint came off from our walls and he got some painter to cover it over but it did not match and so it was all left undone and never would come back to fix the things that he was supposed to do.

Miller performed a home inspection for my son who referred Miller to me to replace a hotwater heater. No problems with my son's inspection but Miller needs to stay out of the repair business until he finds more reliable helpers.  After replacing the hot water heater, his helper turned on the power  (Miller was there) without first filling the tank with water. The elements then had to be replaced which he did at no extra charge (the right thing to do). The tank began to leak on top only a couple hours after Miller left.  It was such a time dealing with his helpers the first time that my son and daughter went on-line to learn, bought the replacement kit and replaced the valve which needed replacing.  I believe Miller means well, but his confidence is greater than his ability.  (My daughter had to follow one of his helpers twice to his truck because he 'accidently' placed her husband's tools in his truck.) (My son had Miller do several home projects for him after the inspection and if he had known the quality of the work, he said he would never have recommended him to me for the hotwater tank.) Again, I do believe Miller wanted to do quality work but he  appeared to not have the experience or knowledge and depended on his help who I believe could have cared less about performing quality work. 
I would like to read a current review as my experience was almost 2 years ago.  Miller, himself, is a person you feel comfortable having in your home.  I felt he was trustworthy.  It was the help and the fact that he did not seem to recognize the poor quality and poor attitutde of his helpers.

Mr Miller has no concept of the importance of getting things done in a timely manner or keeping appointments. His first appointment with me was canceled, and he didn't bother to call me until 5 minutes prior to cancel/reschedule, after I had already taken off of work and driven an hour home for nothing.

The inspection was performed, but did not get the report until 15 days later.  I recieved  the independent mold analysis 17 days after it's date.

Although he does an excellent job on the reports and thourough investigative inspection of the property, his website/email and payment system SUCK!  I tried emailing him repeatedly only to have it returned as "undeliverable".  I tried paying him through his website via credit card repeatedly, only to say that it wouldn't accept payment.  I literally had to chase down the man to pay him.  

However, his honesty is above what any one would expect in today's world of crooks.  Mr. Miller forwarded to me all reports prior to him receiving a single dime!  Kudos!
