Took the Computer in, told Jacob it was dead and that we had power failure at my house last night.  I asked him if he could fix it.  He took it to his diagnostic station, ran tests said, something was fried and if I had a few minutes he would replace it for me and get me back in service. I needed this computer for some outside work I do so It was really refreshing to see a customer comes first attitude again.  Thanks Jacob.

I had been waiting for my usual provider for over seven days to get to my computer. They said they had plenty of time. I had a membership and paid extra for home visits, but because my phone line was down I had to take the computer into the store for repair. In seven days, it had moved an inch on a shelf. God created the Heavens and Earth in seven days. I expected more. NOTE: Ridgeland Computer Repair called me back and had my computer repaired in 50 MINUTES. In looking around, I happened quite by chance on the Ridgeland Computer Repair. They have two repair techs. They do both PC's and Mac's. The man Mike knew his stuff and received his training in the Navy and had additional training. It is $85.00, which is applied toward to repair (like a deposit), plus tax. Mike has told me that the longest time they have had a computer has been four days, and that was because they had to order a part.

Also, they have an office cat--a calico. That puts them several points ahead in my book.

Went great. Took both Computers down to the shop , picked them up on friday. They got the job done. I had used them previously to replace a backup module cd I had ruined and they did it perfectly. When I bought my first Desktop Computer several years ago it came in needing work and the company sent me to these people for warrenty service. In my judgement they are good but I am Computer illiterate

Not good. I lived far away and it seemed like the other guy( the person in charged) wanted me to leave the permises.

I was told first it was the motherboard, then when I told him it couldn't be, he changed and said it was the hard drive. I told him it appeared to be a software problem (virus or corrupted file) but he insisted it was hardware. It wasn't! He replaced one of my keys that had popped off and it simply popped off again. All that was needed was to reinstall the OS, and then do the setup like it was a new computer. It appeared he ran some kind of program to fix it but didn't do the second step so it was worthless, and so then said it was hardware. (I did tell him right up front that I got an error just before it crashed but apparently he didn't believe me.) Do yourself a favor and take your computer to someone who knows what they're doing.

He restored everything he could in "My Documents" and the computer came with MS X-P and Office 2000. I got it up to speed in a week or so. I wish I had been given the install disks for O2K since they are needed for a free upgrade from Microsoft, but that is my only misgiving.
