They replaced our pool pump one afternoon last summer.  It was done by the time I got home that evening.  I wanted the old pump, and they left it in the back yard as per my request.   I think they gave me a bag of shock.  They are nice guys.  They are very busy, so it may be hard to get them out in the peak of the summer.

They never were able to find and correct the problems which were a result of the original install. Instead they continued to dump salt and chemicals in the pool (and bill us for said chemicals) knowing it would do no good since we had to add water daily....a better alternative would have been to just add chlorine tablets until the leak could be discovered, but then they wouldn't be able to bill us and profit off the problem.
They continually lost our checks/payment and requested us to pay twice for the same month....they would leave our gates open which would allow our dogs to escape, they wouldn't vacuum or scrub the tiles, but they would bill that such full service cleaning was being done weekly.
After Issac they ruined our pool finish by allowing the mud water sit for over 72hours before pumping it out then pouring bleach/chemicals on the bottom of the pool and allowing them to pool in 1 area leaving white spots on our navy finished gunite.
Response from BACKYARD ESCAPES
"My apologies once again to the Members. I entered an impossible situation from the beginning. I was asked to repair a swimming pool that had just been installed by another contractor. I found several leaks in the hot tub plumbing and repaired them. The pool continued to leak. THIS POOL HAS SIGNIFICANT ISSUES that are the result of a poor installation. If the pool worked correctly and held water, creating water quality with less chemicals would be normal. I advised Member that she needed to pursue the contractor who had just installed the pool and that I had done everything short of digging up the entire pool that had been installed just feet from the bayou. As far as our response to a pool that had flooded during Isaac (Tropical Storm) We responded and pumped out all of the mud in less than 72 hours since the wind and rain had stopped. I am in fact quite proud of the response time. Dr. and Mrs. Member were obviously not. I This was as I mentioned an impossible situation for myself and will be for the next person expected to work miracles on a swimming pool with MAJOR issues left behind by the contractor. We did not create the problems with there swimming pool. We did everything we could to keep the water clean and sanitary. I tried very hard to please the Member's. This post was the first mention of a gate ever being left open to my knowledge. I apologize if that in fact happened. I wished you had informed me of it before this post as I would have had an opportunity to resolve that issue. I am confident that this is an unfair posting. I bend over backwards for all of my customers. The Member's pool has significant issues that were not created by my company or my employees. We were obligated to maintain water quality. We did. Unfortunately, a pool that leaks requires more chemicals. We did everything we could to please the Members."

No problems at all.  The job actually cost less than their initial estimate.  They were on time the first time.  The second trip they were delayed, but called in plenty of time to inform me.  I had to go to work so they came back the next morning as promised.
