No problems
There are now 4 men on the job. Two are actively working and the other 2 not doing anything from what I could tell. The camera ($25.00 charge) was used in the closet with the leak and no active leak/water was found. The shower was run and there was no leak. The upstairs toilet was flushed several times and the camera was inserted in a hole made in the wall by them. The hole was enlarged and you could visibly see a small trickle of water going down the main pipe from the toilet upstairs. They determined the source of the leak was the toilet upstairs. They replaced the wax ring while the 2 other men installed 2 new faucets upstairs. Testing the new wax ring showed that it still leaked with a small trickle of water. They told us they would have to return to cut into the dry wall to work on the pipe the toilet sits on costing an additional $800.00.
Price for the service was discussed during the evaluation and $3-400.00 was mentioned. The elderly man said "probably so."
A few days lapsed and the downstairs bathtub was used. After it drained out THE leak was found. There was a moderate volume of water immediately after the bath. The provider was contacted and also notified the 10% Angie's List was not deducted. He said he would get that done. The $61.00 credit was applied today.
Overall, this provider was overpaid for FAILURE to diagnose a leak and wanted to return to work in an area where there wasn't a problem & charge more. Second, I was not informed about being charged for a second crew being there. Third, when talking to the provider he tried to portray the fact that they didn't find the leak since they didn't fill the bathtub because I told them the man of the house took showers. There is also a toddler in the household (who was present during their work) and the bath has a Jacuzzi tub. Do I have to state the obvious? I didn't appreciate his attempt to place the blame on me.
I personally think a partial refund is in order for us to settle this matter.
Great company, owners are the workers (Father and son), and they deliver everything they promised.
They fixed the barring in the tub and the flapper in the toilet. The toilets are now flushing on their own every 20 minutes or so. I called them back out to take a look, but they're still doing it.
