Veterinarians
They are reasonable and they know what they are doing. I can call them in the middle of the night in an emergency. I will take my pets here again.

Veterinarians
One Monday morning we took one of our dogs to Doctor Mitchell, the dog, Zack, was in a bad way he had not been able to urinate for about 2 days. Later that day we received a call from the vet's office telling us that Zack had kidney stones and that surgery was required. The vet removed several stones, however poor old Zack still had problems urinating but x-rays showed no sign of a stone. It was discovered that he had some silt like matter in his bladder, which was blocking the urinary tract, somewhat unusal, Doctor Mitchell sent a sample to Mississippi State Veterinary School for analysis. While waiting for the results Zack had to have cathater inserted to drain his bladder. On Saturday afternoon at about 4.30pm Doc Mitchell called and said that Zack still had some kind of blockage and wanted our permission to perform a very delicate surgey to more closely explore the urinary tract. At 8pm Doc Mitchell called and said that he had just finished and that he had found another large stone lodged in a hook shaped bone, unable to be seen on a X-Ray, and that he had succesfully removed the stone. Doc Mitchell was very honest and told us that he was not experienced with this surgery and that there would be no guarantees, that there was a vet who was very familiar with this type of surgery, we had no problem telling Doc Mitchell to do his best, the surgery was succesful. The results of tests came back and showed that Zack had a particularly virulent bacteria that is difficult to treat. Doc Mitchell in conjunction with the vets at MS State came up with a treatment that ultimately proved succesfull. Bottom line we still have the Zackman, who runs around like a puppy, and we will be eternally grateful to Doc Mitchell for the care they gave Zack and the concern they showed us. Doc Mitchell and his staff are, without a doubt the most caring and professional, folks you will find. Not only do they care about the animals in their care but also the owners.
