About us
The Malone name has a deep heritage within the roofing industry that spans over 4 generations. This heritage began in Hattiesburg, MS with Cornell’s father Horace Malone. Horace had 9 children all of which have been involved at some point of their lives within the roofing industry. Many of the family members have formed separate companies over the years and several are still active today. Hattiesburg Roofing Contractors officially began in 1973 and E. Cornell Malone Corp was later formed in 1983. From its humble beginnings, HRC/ECMC began in the residential markets, and quickly grew into the commercial roofing market. Since then, ECMC has achieved steady growth and has become a leading commercial roofing and metal company throughout the southeast. Today, ECMC has approximately 200 employees and is still a family owned and operated full service roofing and metal specialty contractor that specializes in commercial and industrial work. Cornell Malone has remained as President and is also joined by his two sons Roman, and Ryan Malone.
