In the beginning, he told me it would be four weeks.  It has now been six weeks and he isn't even half way through the job.  He wrote several things in the contract and now he is saying it is not included in the price.  He only comes a couple times a week and only spends a maximum of six hours a week working on the job.  He has stated several times that he will show and no one ever does.  I have been getting every excuse in the book.  I have heard several times that he is on his way and he never shows.

Do not give  money down.

Do not expect the work to be done in a timely manner. Because I had to hire someone else to finish the job, because he continued to be a no-show, I spent more money than I had expected. After he came back to try to work with me , he asked for $5,000 more dollars. I had to pray my way out of this one. I paid him up front and he told his workers that I would not pay him.
Sub - materials will be used as new. 
He does some beautiful work if you can only get him to do it. 
' He refused to give me insurance # .He claimed he had a lic. but said I was about to mess him up.
