The only contact I could find to reach him directly was his cell phone number. I asked the BBB to intervene, but he apparently did not respond to them. His rating with the BBB is F. Following is the detailed information I gave to the BBB. Contract signed 5/2/12 to replace damaged fascia boards, fix loose shingles & inspect for other shingle issues, and replace electric roof vent with turbine vent. He has yet to perform any of this work. Following is a record of contact with him from 5/2/12 through 8/7/12. Below that is a copy of the demand letter I sent him. CONTACT RECORD Marc Deckelman : 901-268-9187 5/2/12 Signed contract and made cash down-payment to Marc Deckelman of $260. He had to have cash so he could buy materials that evening. He didn't state, but strongly implied that he would do the work the next day or two. Called Marc 5/15/12 1253 : left message to call me. No response. Called again 5/16/12 1414 : Marc says he's finishing up a job today and will call me when it's finished to set up a time to do my job. He never called. Called again 6/18/12 0824 : answering machine, stating to leave a message and he would get back to me as soon as he could. I left a message to contact me ASAP. No response. Called again 6/25/12 1805 : answering machine again; left message to contact me. Again, no response. Called again 6/27/12 1909 : answering machine again; left message that I was concerned that he did not intend to honor his contract, asked him to call me ASAP. 6/28/12 1046 : Marc called me, said he'd been in Jackson, that he was going to do my job, that he would do it this week, and that he would do any additional work I wanted at no additional charge. Called 7/23/12 1031 : he has not been in contact with me since his phone call of 6/28/12. I left a message that I needed to talk to him again and asked him to call me back. No response. Called again 8/1/12 1747 : once more left message for him to call me. No response. Called 8/7/12 0828 : again left message for him to call me. No response. August 7, 2012 : Marc has not responded to any of my phone messages or been in contact with me since 6/28/12. It is apparent to me that he does not intend to honor his contract, so I sent him a demand letter (dated August 7, 2012, mailed August 8, 2012). This was sent by USPS with signature confirmation. It was delivered to 7605 Eastover Blvd., Olive Branch, MS 38654-1015 and was signed for by G. McNeese. She forwarded it to him. DEMAND LETTER August 7, 2012 Mr. Mark Deckelman Deckelman Roofing Roofing & Restoration, LLC 7605 Eastover Blvd. Olive Branch, MS 38654-1015 Dear Mr. Deckleman: I have called you the past three weeks, and you have not returned my calls. It is apparent that you do not intend to honor your contract of May 2, 2012 or your various verbal commitments since that time. Let's be clear that I meant neither to make you a gift of $260.00 nor to make you an interest free loan of $260.00. Conditions that you agreed to fix have since deteriorated to the point that my house will be subject to severe, extensive interior water damage if we have a heavy storm. I cannot wait for you any longer. Please consider this a demand letter. Either fulfill the contract by August 15, 2012 or make restitution to me by that date in the amount of $278.98 $260 plus interest compounded monthly, at the rate my credit card charges me for an unsecured cash withdrawal (24.9% per annum). If you do neither, I shall certainly be contacting the BBB, Angie's List, and/or any legal entities I deem relevant. I shall also pursue compensation for any legal expense incurred. He did a really good job and did what he said he would do. We did have a little bit of trouble and he came right back out and got that taken care of for us. It was a good experience.

We are just really impressed by them. This is the fourth roofing company that we've gone to; we were taken by the first three. The first three did repairs that never held and they never called us back or showed up. Marc Deckelman Roofing is very professional. They do what they say they'll do. I was impressed with everything about them.
