I purchased a system from Oak Grove Heating & Air Conditioning two years ago. My decision to go with them was not based on price. Their price was actually the highest of the three bids I had received. I spent $1,500 more than the next highest bid. I went with them anyway because I bought into the fact that they sold quality equipment and provided better service than the others. After only two years (yes I said two years!), the compressor went out. The part is covered under warranty, but I still have to pay hundreds of dollars to get it back in service. It's not the fact that I have to pay. The issue is that I'm starting to question the quality of their equipment. My neighbor purchased a cheap unit five years ago for a third of the price I paid, and his unit is still going strong. My unit can't even make it past two years! Sounds like I paid a premium price for cheap equipment - at least cheaply made equipment. The installation certainly wasn't cheap. I would have been better off paying a lower price from the beginning. My suggestion for those looking for a new system is to go with the other options. You don't get what you pay for in this case. If nothing runs like a Trane, I guess nothing breaks like a Lennox. If 0 stars were an option, I would rate 0 stars.I purchased a system from Oak Grove Heating & Air Conditioning two years ago. Amazing! Probably the most professional encounter in my 60 years! Josh came out to figure the job and was more concerned about the lack of insulation in the attic than selling me a product. He suggested, and we agreed, to have our attic "foamed" before he figured the required cooling requirement. Upon returning, he was truly interested in meeting our specific needs, and sold us the least expensive option. The installation team was equally professional, calling the day before to verify the installation. Upon completion, they went over the bill item by item (price as quoted by Josh), and went over operation of the system, warranty, and said to call if any problems arise. What more could anyone ask?

Oak Grove Heating and air installed a new Lennox HVAC system in my home. I used them on several occasions to repair my old system they were always reliable and came quickly. After a few bids I went to  Oak Grove Heating and Air office and found friendly and helpful people. I asked so many questions they called one of the owners DUSTY to talk with me, he answered every question, then took me in the warehouse and showed me the equipment and introduced me to the installers, I decided then they were the company for me. They were not the lowest bidder but they bid on what I asked for, most of the others bid on what they wanted to sell and one on the bottom of their line of Hvac systems. On install day the install team (5 guys) showed up on time, each started his part of the removal and installation process. They had the old unit out by an early lunchtime. They returned when they said they would and installed the new unit, with all the little quirky things I asked for like extra sound insulation, completely new wire and insulated copper lines, and a extra filter system and were finished around 5 pm. I'm really satisfied and highly recommend this company.

Oak Grove A/C sent a repairman to the house (3001 Magnolia Place, Hattiesburg, MS) and he wrote on the ticket the following:
"The drain line on the Lennox Air handler had stopped up.  Cleared the drain and checked freon pressures.  Motor and compressor amps were correct.  The coils and filters were clean.  System is operating properly at this time."
Three days later the tenant called them back for the overflow was wetting the carpet again.  They came and said it was a plumbing problem and the tenant should call a plumber.
They called Pierce Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning.  They came blew out the line and were gone (the tenant said) in less than ten minutes.  They charged $107.00.  The A/C has it's own drainage line and is not hooked into the sewer system.
I called and spoke with Jeff, one of the owners (to my knowledge).  He said he would check it out and get back to me.  He did not though I called a couple of times.  I then wrote a letter detailing what he had told me on the phone and asking for my money back. There has been no answer.  One of the key things he told me on the phone was that they did not have the equipment to blow out the line.
Kudos to Pierce Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning--they will now have all my business.  I will not be calling Oak Grove again.

I called the company wanting them to come clean and service our HVAC unit. We were having no problems before the service. They came and supposedly cleaned the coils and added a small amount of coolant. We had not had any problems with the unit in the two years prior that we had owned the house. The two men who came to service the unit were very nice but they repeatedly reinforced that this ten year old unit would be going out anytime now due to its age. However, no problems were reported by the technicians. Sure enough like others here, in less than a month it started freezing up and would not cool at all. A different repairman came to repair the unit. They reported that the coils were dirty and that there was a hole in the coolant line that looked like someone had intentionally punctured it. I have no proof that Oak Grove Heating and Air intentionally punctured the coolant line. However, the repairmen were very insistent that I would be having to purchase a new unit very soon. It has been two years since that evaluation and my unit is working fine.

They did a really nice job. They were very prompt. They answered a lot of questions for me and were willing to be patient to share information. They were punctual, knowledgeable and informative. They have been in business in the area for a long time. I compared them with other people in the area and thought that they were superior to the competition in terms of how they handle helping me make a decision. The technician that came out and initially assessed my system, the team that came out and installed the system and the people in the office that I've dealt with, everybody was very professional and did a good job. They also made me aware of a rebate program on the system and some of their competitors for the same equipment, did not make me aware of the rebate so I thought there was an honesty factor with them also.

I called Oak Grove Heating and air at about 6PM on a weekday because my AC unit was not cooling.  After about 30 minutes a service technician showed up and said he would look at it.  After about a 30 minute evaluation he told me that my unit needed freon, approximately 15 poulds.  I told him to go ahead and charge the unit.  After about another 45 minutes he came in with an invoice of $510.00  He charged me $30.00/lb of freon at 13 lbs and an after-hours fee, then told me I would need a NEW exterior unit and quoted me $2750.00 for that. About a month later the unit wasnt cooling again, I called a personal friend to evaluate.  He looked and told me:1: my unit does not hold more than 8 lbs of freon2. my copper line had been crimped in 4 places thus not letting the unit cool3. my unit was fine and only needed a new conencer unit. So, they charged me for 7 or so pounds of freon that they didnt even use, then intentionally destroyed my unit so I would be forced to buy one from them.  They are criminals as far as I'm concerned.  I wouldnt reccomend this group to ANYONE STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!
