I spoke to Mr. Clark personally by phone and made an appointment for the following morning. He told me that he would call me before he arrived. Relying on this commitment, I made special arrangements and set aside the entire morning of the next day for this appointment. But no one ever showed up for the appointment nor did Clark notify me that they wouldn't make it. The next afternoon a young man arrived on my doorstep and said he was from Clark Electric. I told him they were supposed to be there yesterday and that I had to leave. He was very polite and apologized and said he was only told about this job and quot;this morning.and quot;

Subsequently I checked Clark Electric at the Better Business Bureau of Mississippi and discovered unsurprisingly that it has an and quot;Fand quot; rating.

So, the bottom line is: Clark is capable of doing satisfactory work, if they bother to show up when they say they will. This firm has demonstrated utter disregard not only for professionalism but also for common courtesy. If you can't make a scheduled appointment, take 15 seconds to call the customer and say so. That's all it takes.

I found this company in the phone book and it said Licensed, bonded and insured. When I called he seemed eager to do the job, came out and estimated and began working immediately. I was thrilled at first with their attitude and ability to start work soon. Almost immediately, the owner left a young man who he assured me was completely qualified to do the work, alone to wire my home. From then on I almost exclusively saw only this young man doing the work alone. They requested a portion of the money midway through the job, I paid them what they asked for, and never bickered with them about the money. I had to have the job inspected by the city before electricity could be turned on since the house was vacant for more than a year before I purchased it. When he finished I thought everything looked fine because I have no knowledge of how they were supposed to look. The owner, Wesley Clark, then assured me that he had contacted the inspector to schedule my inspection and I paid him the remainder of his pay. This is where I made my biggest mistake! I should have waited until the inspector said the work was done before giving this man a dime! When days went by with no word from the inspectors office, I called to see what was the problem. The told me that noone had ever made such a request. The inspector offered to come over to review the work and I was horrified to find that wires were in the wrong place, hanging loose on the ground under the house, and many violations found and I could not get electricity until they were corrected. I began attemping to contact Mr. Clark, but he was avoiding me. The inspectors office said that this company was not licensed and had asked if they could apply for a license! This went on for weeks until the inspector warned him that this was a serious offense. He then sent the same young man to correct the violations. When he arrived I asked him about one particular violation, the ground and neutral being in the wrong place. He looked at me with a puzzled expression and admitted not knowing anything about electricity and that he only did what he was told by the owner. When he called the owner, he was told "don't ever tell anyone you don't know what you are doing" and then the young man was told to go home he wouldn't need him anymore. I could not believe what I was hearing. After another week, he sent another man who I believed corrected the problems. The inspector came out and approved the work enough to have the electricity turned on. I then discovered that none of my light fixtures, most of the kitchen outlets, and the new outlets for the dryer and stove did not work. The second worker offered to come out and look at it and found bunches of wires that were not connected to the breaker box outside. I still don't have power in the light fixures, none of the kitchen and bathroom wall outlets. I am now living in a home by lighting the kitchen and bathroom from lamps connected to an extension cord!!! I have begged this man countless times to please correct this problem and he could not care less. The last worked was very nice and said that Wesley Clark was observed doing the same thing to other people and didn't pay him for the work he did. He said that Mr. Clark was cold and could care less about who he messes over. I am going to take this man to court for this.
