Thorough exam and ear swab was performed. Our dog was given an injection for allergies which has shown to be effective. They followed up with a phone call the very next day. We could not have asked for anything more. The doctor and staff were very friendly and down-to-earth and gave full explanation of all services performed and cost of each. We highly recommend this veterinarian.

They are wonderful. Just the quality of care, we get the feeling that they really care about our animals and that they really want to do everything they can without gauging us. That's the problem I've had with vets in the past. I just feel like they are recommending stuff so that they can charge me more. But these guys kind of give us a menu pick and what it's going to cost if we have that and what the benefits are versus the price. They don’t guilt us into that. They don’t play like they are just trying to get our money from us. They are pretty responsible about that. So I like them a lot. They can always get us appointments within a day or two. Even sometimes when we have walk-ins, they can do same day. The staff is very nice and friendly. We can relax and wait for our turn. They don’t usually have us wait too long. The docs are all very knowledgeable. They are very willing to just explain everything to us. They break it down so that we understand what's going on with our animal, and then make choices about treatment from a place of knowledge rather than just taking the best word for it. They are very caring and they act like they care about our animals and not just our money. I like them. They do their surgeries there. They will also do kenneling services overnight, so if we need to go out of town, we can leave our animals there. But we don’t use them for that; we use another provider for that. The price is about $60 or $70 for a visit, their shots and labs. It's real reasonable. There is no waiting twenty minutes after our appointment; nothing like that. When we first got our puppy, the vet encouraged us to bring our daughter in for all of his checkups. He talked to my daughter about pet care and what the shots were for and how it kept him healthy. It was really cute. He told us to schedule the appointment for after school and bring our daughter too, and that they will give her a little education about how to take care of a puppy. That was their idea. They invited us to do that. It wasn’t like we asked them to do that. When our older dog got cancer, they were willing to explain to our daughter what they were doing for surgery and how it was supposed to help. So that takes the burden off the parents a little bit because it's always hard to have that discussion with a little one. She is eight. They were willing to help out with that. They care about us and our animals and not our money.

After 2 visits to previous vet and a diagnosis of constipation, being laughed at for our concerns, we reached out to other vets for help. Northwood Hills worked us in same afternoon and showed genuine concern that our dog had been suffering for 4 days. They immediately offered ultrasound and Xrays to see what was going on. We went in expecting to be told there was a blockage and surgery could be done.
As Dr Parks relayed the news that our beloved dog had multiple very large tumors and treatment might not be the kindest way to treat him, she demonstrated compassion and empathy for the distress her unexpected news gave us. She was willing to spend the time to answer questions and go into detailed reasoning for the diagnosis and prognosis. Dr Parks helped us make a difficult decision to let our beloved dog go and stayed with us through the entire process, which made it easier to bear. Dr Selig also came in to spend time with us, and was very comforting. The staff cried with us as we made our decision, even though they had not met us before.
I cannot recommend them enough.
