The Gulfport personnel were polite and responsive prior to the move. They accommodated changes in schedule. They arrived on time to pack and load my goods?I packed most breakables before they arrived. They assured me that they knew how to pack so they packed the remainder of the fragile items. They arrived on time in CA. The driver called several times to coordinate his arrival to my arrival. When they arrived I noticed there was only one driver, not the two I expected. Additionally there were three men hired on the CA end to unpack. I checked the men putting the boxes in the house and noticed they were stacking boxes literally to the ceiling. I asked them not to do that as I was the person unpacking and I had to be able to handle the boxes. I was assured that only light boxes were on top. I tipped everyone and thanked them for their work. The next day I began to unpack boxes. I found that the boxes on top of the stacks were the heaviest?very heavy wardrobes on top, X-Large heavy boxes on top. On three occasions, so far, the whole stack of boxes has fallen on me. On other occasions the top boxes were so heavy that the bottom boxes were crushed. Several items were crushed?items I cherished, that were fragile and were packed poorly by Fayard employees. I have called Fayard three times and they have said to complete insurance forms, and that they would talk to the driver. I have called Allied and they said I needed to call Fayard. I believe the problem is with the hiring at the CA end of the trip, and there not being a second driver to coordinate the men unloading the truck.
