Um, see above. These guys are recommended by me based on the very first visit- Chris was the technician who came out and who I think worked his butt off on my system to make it perfect! Thank you, Chris and Jim, for running such a nice company!

This company charged my 85 year old stroke victim mother in law $370 to replace a thermostat. It was a programmable thermostat (Protech T855) which can be bought on line for $85. The receptionist told me that they charged 3 hours labor. This is a job that others say (and I could do myself) is one hour, tops. Even with 3 hours labor they must be charging $90 per hour.
The manager refused to give me a breakdown on the charges, denying the three hours, just saying this is their standard charge. The conversation degraded from there.
What I see here is a company taking advantage of an elderly person and refusing to justify their charges to someone who knows what is going on. If you are being quoted over $200 (probably over $150) for this service, find someone else. We will certainly not use them again and recommend you do not either. They also charge $150 for a twice a year visit contract for maintenance. Checking around, a typical maintenance visit should not exceed $60 if no refrigerant is required.
Stay away from these rip off artists for any service.

The job that they did seemed okay. It seemed to help our heating. I don't know how to grade them on price because I really don't have anything to compare it to. The quality of their work seems to be good and their punctuality was good too. I would recommend them to others.

They were professional when they showed up. I think they did an okay job. There were some things that were left undone; they said that they would bring us a vent back but it took a very long time to bring it back. The system's motor went out on it not long after and it took them probably 48 hours to get that fixed. It's not bad, but it's neither excellent.
