CAVEAT EMPTOR-Walker Heating and Air. Buyer beware. They showed on time and that was the only positive part of the experiece. I had the equipment ready when he showed up. He began hooking it up and realized he was using 1/4 inch tubing when it needed to be 3/8 and went ahead and hooked it up anyway. He did the same thing with the inside unit. He improperly soldered the high pressure line and this caused a leak that cost me $600.00 worth of Freon. I lost 12lbs at $50/lb. The electrical wire was too big for the wire nut and I had to provide him with the right connector to hook it up, out of my inventory. As he was twisting the wires they were falling apart, literally. It was supposed to be a 6 wire heat pump but he jumped a 5 wire cable and said he could make it work. I took his word on that. When he rewired the thermostat and pushed it back in on he bent the pin and cracked the motherboard. The contactor burned up and the outside kept turning on and off. During the night I lost all the Freon, but when he left the motor was working. As he was hooking up the outside I told him he could use copper tubing from the existing unit for the job, and when he left he stole 40-50 feet of it from me. This was after I even fed him lunch and gave and his assistant drinks. He said he needed to get more parts but didn?t have the money, so I wrote him a check for the full amount. He came back with duct work and the register, hooked up the duct work but left the register. As they were leaving his assistant told me the warranty ended as soon as they left the driveway, but he told me he?d give me a 30 day warranty. The next morning when I called he didn?t answer. I called 20+ times and he didn?t answer until I called from my girlfriend?s. He said he would be back Sunday morning, but Sunday morning he did not show up. He took the money and ran; he did not finish the job or honor his warranty. I question his license and bonding.
Description of Work: He was supposed to install an indoor/ outdoor unit.
