First The good. Professional nice people. When you finally do get on their project list, they will show up - weather permitting. They do a good job of doing the work THEY decide needs to be done. I relied on their expertise to diagnose and fix the problem. Mistake. They are supposed to be the experts - not me. The bad. They assess problems and recommend fixes poorly. I had a drainage problem, and after their fairly expensive French drain work late last year, I still have the same issue. Let me put it this way. It is the last part of June and I still have to cut the grass in that area in boots with a weed eater. I have not been able to cut it with my riding mower or self propelled lawn mower. How bad is that, especially after paying $4700 to fix the problem? Sent an email on June 15, 2020 To office manager describing the continuing issue and she never responded - nor apparently forwarded my email. Did not really expect any type of warranty coverage, but lack of common courtesy to respond to the email says a lot. Am getting somebody else to do the work they did not do correctly. More money, but willing to pay to get it done correctly. Won't be dealing with this Company again - nice people or not. FWIW - NOBODY is so busy they cannot take a few seconds to respond to an email - unless they just don't want to.

Some of the grass died and it was diseased. They said it was diseased from the supplier but they did not come out and fix it. It was not a perfect job. They are good honest people and do not cheat anyone.

Phil supervises two men who do lawn mowing, weed eating, and trimming every other week. They work very professionally thoroughly and quickly. We have an almost 2 acre lot including the house, so it is a large area to cut. A great bonus is that their fee also includes putting Roundup on any grass in the driveways.

We were very grateful that Will Schoggen was up do date on new drain tools and devices so that he could hide the drain pipe from public view. The grass has grown back from the trenching, and our backyard is much more attractive.

Will Schoggen's pleasant and efficient crew under his direction removed the remaining mulch and dug deeply down into the dirt below the walkways through our parterre garden, spreading the soil into some eroded areas in the back of our yard at our request. After installing a heavy liner to discourage weeds, they filled the walkways with several inches of pea gravel which is contained by river rock already bordering the beds. They placed flagstone stepping stones through the paths for easy walking at distances comfortable for my stride. We have been so pleased with the look of the pathways and the advantage of pea gravel over hardwood mulch in staying in place when we get those torrential rainstorms.

Project was scheduled to start the end of July 2013 and would take about 2 weeks to complete.  As agreed in June.
Project started a few weeks late due to bricks not being available on the start date. Had over a month to order, but waited tile the last minute to order, and delayed the start.
Will - August 10, 2013 - called salesman to find out when bricks would be available.
Week of August 12, bricks were delivered.  Will said he wanted a contract and deposit before he started the work.  This was not in the original agreement.
We had a wedding scheduled for September 7th, 2013, so it was imparative that this job be completed ASAP.  We were now being pushed for time.
August 20th,2013.  Will requested another $1,502 for brick that was not in his original estimate.  I had a landscape architiect draw up the plan.  Will bid on the plan, but reportedly didn't include a small brick wall that was in the plan.
Regardless, pushed for time, I agreed to the price increase and offered an additional $500 if they would complete the job by August
23rd. with no more hassles.
August 21, 2013 - Phil declined on guarenteeing the job would be completed by August 23rd, but wanted the $500 dollars anyway.  I informed Phil that it did not work that way.  No guarantee, no extra money.
I then asked if I could incentivize the workers to help speed things up.  Phil called me on the telephone, telling me in no way do I offer any money to his workers, I should pay him only - in a verbale tirad.  I endured the call, then sent an email to Will, stating I had no idea what set Phil off on his livid response.  I was just trying to find a way to help.
I just pretty much stayed out of it after this, they kept dragging along.  Will showed up one day, and the crew did about three days work while he was there.
All this was going on and I had other contractors working around them.  Some even worked on the weekends to help me get ready for the wedding.
Not Schoggen, they finished up September 5th (2 days before the wedding) and were coming back on the 6th to put things back, clean up.  I declined and had another crew come in, clean up, put things back in place etc.
