The fence was installed while I was out of town due to delays from rain.  The salesman was at my door within 30 minutes of my return to collect second half of fees.  I had not had time to even look at fence.  Unfortunately, I paid prior to inspecting fence.  I was persuaded to use cypress over cedar because "the quality of the wood is better right now."  This cypress looks like it is the lowest possible grade.  Some boards have splits from top to bottom.  There were random nails everywhere.  Some fence boards skipped in nailing.  There was a gap of 10" from the ground in some spots.  I have a 4#  puppy.  She could easily walk right under.  I had a gate added to the existing fence.  They re-used the existing fence boards and cut the bottoms off very unevenly and put the latch locking mechanism on the ditch side of the fence.  One of the top horizontal 2 x 4's was not even attached to the post. Luckily, my neighbor noticed that and tried to correct it. The fence looked like an amateur had installed it.  I called to have someone come back.  They showed up when I wasn't home and said they would fix it.  At some point the fence was lowered to the ground.  This created even more problems.  Now the top pieces of the good neighbor sections did not even meet the posts.  They lowered the sections by sawing through the nails holding in place and re-nailing.  I am lucky to have 2 nails holding the sections in place.  However, at first glance it looks like there are about 8 nails.  They have all been sawed through. There are gaps of 3/4"  between the horizontal 2 x 4's and the posts.  I have called numerous times.  The lady that answers the phone is very nice and seems concerned.  Finally spoke to the owner, Justin, who said he would come take a look.  Again, he came when I was not home.  He said they would fix the fence.  Again, a crew showed up when I was out of town.  This time they raised a section of the fence to even the top resulting in a large gap at the bottom again.  I still have a small dog!  Still have boards with splits all the way down.  Still have a 2 x 4 barely attached to the post (thanks to the neighbor).  The new gate in the old fence still looks like a toddler cut the bottom and they flipped the latch but it is so close to the other section of fence that a lock will not go through.  This is a terrible way to do business.

I was very pleased with Bankston Fence. I called him up because i was in a rush to get this done and not only did he give me reasonable pricing and option but he managed to have verything done in a matter of days! Due to my budget i was able to get the best materials but that was my own decision. They were great and the workmanship was fast and accurate.

Overall the service was good, they were kinda lax with keeping appointments and the sales person told us he would include removing bushes but when the workers came they said they didn't know anything about that and I ended up paying more than the original quote.

I requested the fence be moved 2 feet.

The sales person was helpful in answering questions, provided a detailed estimate which we needed for the HOA approval. The estimate was $1,000 less than another company's estimate . We had a technical problem with the double gate installation and the problem was fixed the next day.

They came out on the day they said they would and gave quote. They came back and set the post when they said they would and then came back and erected fence when they said they would. Professional and courteous all the way. I got quality fence at a fair price and professional installation.

A gentleman came out promptly and gave us an estimate of $374.00. We gave him a $200 check on May 16, 2011, and he told us it would be a couple of weeks before they could do the work. After four weeks and we were ready to ask for a refund, they called and said they would be out at 3:00 p.m.. They tore down the gate and set the new posts in concrete. They returned a couple of days later and finished the work. Its looks nice and seems to be a good gate.

called Bankston and set up appointment for estimate; sales person arrived promptly and looked at the fence and gave me a quote on the spot; said it would take about 2 weeks for the company to perform the work as they were backed up; they called before they came and came and set the gate posts, 2 days later they returned (when they said they would) and made the gate and installed it. Very pleased with the work performed, the professionalism of the people.
